Older Than Language was the Salamanca Arts Centre’s major exhibition and public program for 2020. Public programming for Older Than Language began in November 2019.

 

Sharifah Emalia Al-Gadrie was appointed assistant curator for this project and for the public program. The Older Than Language program and exhibition featured 32 artists from across the country and the exhibition and its accompanying series of talks, performances and community events explored the contemporary migrant experience within Australia today.
